Pfizer hosts global, week-long event to highlight patient-centricity efforts across the company.
As a part of our ongoing commitment to patients, this week, Pfizer is hosting its fourth annual global event, Patients in Focus. This event recognizes the impact patients have on our work, renews our dedication to putting them at the center of everything we do, and celebrates the #Joy that comes with helping others live healthier lives. In 2023 alone, we impacted 618 million patients, and with that momentum, we are on track to achieve our ambition of changing a billion lives a year by 2027. While this event is only a week-long, Pfizer’s commitment to patients is year-round and central to the work Pfizer does every day.
“In 1849, Charles Fizer and Charles Erhart founded the company we know today as Pfizer. 175 years later, we celebrate our legacy, marked by countless breakthroughs and unwavering dedication to patients,” said Sally Susman, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Pfizer. "For our work to be meaningful, we must build bridges of understanding and collaboration in patient care. That’s why our 2024 Patients in Focus theme is “175 Years of Building Bridges with Patients,” recognizing the countless contributions that brought us here. Through constant innovation, collaboration, and dedication, we strive to bridge gaps and deliver the best care and most ideal health outcomes for patients worldwide.”
Patients in Focus highlights examples of successful patient engagement and advocacy and helps ensure all Pfizer employees have the knowledge and resources to incorporate patient voices into their work. This effort, led by Global Patient Advocacy Leads across the organization, provides momentum toward Pfizer’s goals of being the most patient-centric company and improving health equity.
